Own product · Web app for managers
LoopLead, the tool I built for managers without an HR department
LoopLead gives managers in companies with 15 to 75 employees a weekly rhythm. The team checks in, the manager gets material for the conversation and whatever is agreed carries over to the next meeting. I designed and built the product, the site and everything in between.
LoopLead · for the manager in a growing company
The weekly rhythm that lifts the team. And the manager.
Three check-ins become talking points, actions and early signals. All in one view, with no HR department behind you.
Every signal becomes an actionThe manager's home view and the weekly reflection, with demo data.
The background
Whenever I build something I start with the same question: what should the phone do that the web can't? For LoopLead the answer was nothing. Managers sit at a desk with check-ins, meetings and actions, and none of that needs the phone's sensors. So LoopLead became a web app and not an app in the store.
LoopLead is sold to the manager, not to HR. HR can see trends across the company, but the flow belongs to whoever leads the conversation.
The concept
A two-minute check-in
The team answers on Monday and Friday, two minutes each time. No more admin than that.
Material for the conversation
Before each meeting LoopLead gathers what has happened since last time, so the manager doesn't have to prepare from scratch.
Actions that carry over
Whatever is agreed in the meeting becomes an action that comes back next time. Every signal should lead to something concrete.
What I built
The web app, from the ground up
Built in React with a database in the EU. Each company's data is kept apart in the database itself, not just in the interface.
AI as an assistant, not a detective
Patterns are found with ordinary code. The language model only writes the text and never gets verbatim quotes from free-text answers.
Anonymity in the database
Pulse surveys and trends only show once at least three people have answered. The rule sits in the database, where it can't be bypassed.
Positive signals
LoopLead also shows what is moving forward, like steady improvement and cleared blockers, not just warnings.
The weekly reflection
The manager guesses how the team is doing and then sees what they said. The gap is often the best thing to talk about.
The year wheel
The year's recurring activities in a wheel with five rings.
Three choices that shaped LoopLead
The manager first, not HR
The tools on the market are sold to HR and end up as reports. LoopLead is built for the meeting, where change happens.
The code detects, the AI writes
A language model hunting for patterns will invent trends. Here the code works out the signals and the AI only writes them up in Swedish.
At least three answers before anything shows
Anonymity is sacred. Answers and identities sit in separate tables that are never joined, so nobody can work out who said what.
Where LoopLead stands now
The whole weekly loop
Check-in, meeting prep, actions, reflection, pulse survey and year wheel all work.
Ahead of the pilot
The core loop is done. The last security and contract pieces are being finished before the first companies start.
Launch
Once the pilot is done, LoopLead launches as a monthly subscription.
Guides and the thinking behind it
On looplead.se I write guides for managers in companies without an HR department, and soon also about how LoopLead is meant to work: the structure, the plan and why I chose what I did. The guides are in Swedish.
How to run good one-to-ones
A guide for managers in smaller companies on the conversation that makes the biggest difference to the team.
